CRUISE THE ROCKIES XI

Gunnison Colorado - August 12th-14th, 2011

Cruise The Rockies is a PT Cruiser event where we share the beautiful State of Colorado with all of our Cruiser friends from around the World. What’s different about this event is that it is NOT a car show. We don’t sit in hot parking lots in our fold out chairs. What we DO do, is get together with some of the greatest people in the World and we cruise somewhere in this great State of Colorado. Each year, we find a different area of Colorado to show off and invite all of you to come enjoy it with us. For the last ten years, we have cruised hundreds of miles in the Colorado Rockies including Trail Ridge Road, Independence Pass, Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak, The San Juan Mountains, The Flat Top Wilderness Area, The Royal Gorge, and many other beautiful areas in Colorado. If you like sitting in a parking lot in the hot sun, showing off your Cruiser, this may not be the event you would like to come to but, if you truly love to cruise in your Cruiser, love to get together with some of the greatest people in the World, and you love to just have fun, then we suggest you click on the registration tab above and get ready for a event like no other. Cruise The Rockies XI will be based outside of the small town of Gunnison Colorado. Gunnison was established in 1874 and is the County Seat of Gunnison County. It is centrally located in the State of Colorado, 200 miles from Denver and 180 miles from Colorado Springs. Nestled 30 miles west of the Continental Divide in a sprawling valley, the elevation here is 7,703 feet. From there, we will do multiple cruises to places like The Black Canyon of the Gunnison, West Elk Scenic Byway, Crested Butte and Silver Thread Scenic Byway. All of these areas need to be checked out before we make the final itinery, but rest assured, we will be cruising to some of the most beautiful areas that you have ever seen. We will also have a “cruise-in” at the Host Hotel so we can show off the rides along with a night glow show.
